Good looking watch with clear dial, not slim, but not heavy either. Time-keeping excellent, being radio controlled. Minute hand moves in 20 second steps. Sweep seconds hand difficult to see in poor light. Solid stainless steel bracelet, suits watch. Easy to remove links to adjust length, by pushing out pins using bent paper clip and small pliers. Fine adjustment by choice of hole in clasp. Well satisfied.

The watch is just a super piece of technology. Spot on timekeepung thanks to Anthorn and Mainflingen. I like the clasp on the strap, easy to put on and take off. The blue face is appealing and distinctive. My only quibble is the second hand which is dark red and just does not show up against the blue face.

Love it, looks great, large enough to see clearly but not bulky or heavy. The fact that it is always right to the second and has a usable stop watch and alarm is a bonus. Sadly I don't travel enough to need the duel time!

Great service from Watch Shop - arrived next day- brilliant! All the Casio watches I have had over the years suffer with illumination in the dark. Casio still need to sort a better 'back-light', as, despite having reflective hands, they still require some sort of 'outside light' help for the time to be read in the middle of the night when staying overnight in a bedroom with no other clocks! Great sevrvice over a busy Christmas period - thank you.

I purchased this watch as a surprise Christmas present for my son and he's delighted with it. He's used to wearing smaller, lighter watches, but has adapted to this one with no problem other than the bracelet strap taking him longer to adjust than he anticipated. The clarity of the face of the watch, coupled with its accuracy and multi-functionality are particularly appreciated.

Good looking watch! A great pity about the very poor light which does not illuminate the face of the watch.
The glow in the dark bits are also hit and miss which is a great let down.
Otherwise it keeps perfect time and looks good!

The watch is very good and as described on the internet. The only downside, in my opinion, is the smallnest and difficult to read instruction booklet. A very worthwell purchase, which does what it says.

As well as being stylish it is so light you will barely notice you're wearing it. The backlight makes it easy to read even in the lowest of lights.

The watch is even more elegant "in the flesh" than it appears in the pictures. The functions are extremely comprehensive though I cannot claim to have mastered them all yet. The operating manual is a splendid piece of work and should provide plenty of reading for the long winter evenings. All in all a really fine piece of machinery and I could not be more pleased.

As a technical person the features of this solar/atomic time watch appeal as both surity of power and of accuracy are catered for in a superb manner. The appearance and style are excellent with buttons that do not look like an old stop watch. First class watch.

As a minister of a church who is constantly running backwards and forwards to meetings I need a watch that is reliable, durable and wont let me down. (It also needs to look good when I'm wearing a suit!)

Being a gadget fan I was also looking for a watch with a few special features. As one who helps with youth work a stop watch for controlling games etc is also a must.

This watch meets the bill perfectly and both elderly friends and teenagers have commented on its looks, features and the value for money.

The fact that.the watch is "radio controlled" means that it will always be accurate to the second and I've no complaints there.

I was concerend about the "Titutaim strap" as I'm, used to have more flexible ones, but this was not a problem as it came ready fitted to the size of my wrist. Its a little heavy to wear and you may want to bear that in mind..

Its not a fussy watch with lots of information on or around the face but it is elegeant and the digital display is clear, easy to see and useful. (It also has a back light) The face is a lovely blue and easy to read. The lumious hands stay alite for a good ten minutes in the dark.

The digital features are excellent - two alarms and a stop watch function.

On the down side the manuel is a bit hard to follow and could be a little clearer. It does take a while to sort out how to set the various alarms but you will quickly get the hang of it. I've not taken it abroad yet but travelling anywhere in Europe I'm assured the watch will be easy to set - it will do this either automatically or manually.

From the moment I took it out of the box it has been telling the time accuaratly to the second.

In summary a fantastic watch and I have completly fallen in love with it.

This Casio watch was choosen equally for its looks and features. Was a little worried about the physcial size, but this proved to be unfounded. This is the first watch of this type I have ever bought and was choosen for daily use, as I have other watches which I wouldn't wear to work. Feels robust but yet looks stylish enough to wear to business meeting. Early days yet but I am very impressed with my Casio to date.

I had a similar watch but fed up with battery change decided to try the solar powered version. I was amazed (and delighted) that it arrived ready charged and running on correct time. The blue of the dial is a little dark, and the real fiddly bit was removing links from the wristband (not actually all that difficult once mastered) - maybe I should have asked them to do it for me. A really nice watch, and is running despite little sunlight the last few days! Such good service - I ordered mid afternoon Friday and it arrived Saturday morning.

After a lot of careful thought as to what functions/ design features I required and comparing many watches this one provided everything I was looking for: Clean simple design with 3 (phosphorescent) hands and digital display with waveceptor accuracy. Day, Date, Month, Year selectectable display. Stopwatch (with elapsed time, split time and 1st/2nd place). World times. 3 daily alarms and hourly signal. Solar powered battery recharge as an additional bonus. Robust stainless steel strap and watch body and LED illuminated blue dial water resistant to 100m. With the exception of the solar power this watch perfectly met the specification i required with no unwanted redundant functions. The price was very competative, the strap adjusted to the size I specified and next day delivery and service as promised. Very happy!

I started with three brands Casio,Seiko and Citizen and I can assure you that I have read many many reviews on a lot of web sites before settling on the Casio for the following reasons. solar powered (no more batteries) and time keeping (corrected by the atomic clock every day) I also wear glasses and remove them when I go to bed so the luminous hands mean that I can read the time in a dark room(may be a bit blurred without my glasses but I can still make out the time)I also like the position of the day/date feature where it is not obscured by the hour hand when it reaches 3 o`clock (had not thought of that before I got the watch)I just love the blue dial and the fact that the 3/6/9/and12 are all that little bit bigger makes the watch so easy to read,even the red second hand looks good against the blue face and is easy to read.Like a lot of others that I have read about in the reviews I also had to remove a link in the metal band but if you look on the inside of the band on the links you can see some that have a little arrow which shows you the direction to push out the connecting pin.If you follow this and take a little care you can have the job done in a matter of seconds.As a 60 year old (got the watch for my birthday) I have had many watches some cheap and some not so cheap but this one seems to out shine all the others it is light weight on the wrist easy to read even the push buttons have a sleek design and look good. It is water resistant to100 meters so should be OK for that odd plunge into a bucket of water although I have not tested it yet but it is only a matter of time before I do accidentally.Another first for this watch is that it is the first watch I have ever had which is all set and ready to go,time set ,date set straight out of the box(apart from removing the link as I mentioned earlier).I do not know how resistant to scratches it is going to be but now that I have got a watch that looks this good I am going to adopt a policy of taking it off when doing something which might scratch the face as I have not found a watch yet which will not scratch.The watch does a lot other things and has a lot of features,some that I will most probably never use,but they are there if ever I need them and as we say from my part of the world "You are better looking at it than for it". Overall I love everything about this watch I do not have anything bad to say about it.Someone has clearly sat down and thought about the design of this watch and I think it is great value for money and leads me well into the 21 century.All I got to do now is live long enough to enjoy it.Well done CASIO

Excellent so far! Matches the on-line description very well. It has replaced an old Casio wave ceptor with resin strap and appears to be much more robust. Face is clear and very easy to read.

Product feels sturdy, and looks the piece. Very good value for money! Simple to update the time when it first arrives, other functions may be a little complicated, I've not really played with them though, Instruction booklet clear and easy to follow. Clear display, watch numerals and hands glow in the dark so even without the backlight the time can be seen in the dark. Service from thewatchshop was perfect. Adjusted and delivered to my door in approx 20 hours!

This is my second waveceptor-I accidentally dropped the first overboard on a sailing trip.This time I went for the stainless steel bracelet to enhance the blue face.I have to have a second hand for my job as a GP and I travel frequently in Europe so the world time feature is a must.I just love it.

I am delighted with my Wave Ceptor. It has always been very important to have an accurate time piece, and this is the ultimate, To actually own such a bit of kit like this, for me is a mark of the times(no pun intended).I can't stop looking at it, and checking all other clocks and watches. Delighted with the deep blue easy to read dial.No money cost,such a good deal.

This is a nice solid watch & although the blue coloured face was darker than the picture on your web site it is still very clear. It has had no trouble picking up the time signal even though I havent placed it in a window as suggested in the manual. It also charges well in artificial light although only seems to reach high charge in sunlight. I would recommend this watch to anybody.

The face is clear, functional and uncluttered. Hands are plain and well suited to the numerals.Second hand, delicate and precise, perfectly synchronised. Dig.display fine. All functions useful. Battery & charging. Went from "Med" to "Hi" after short period in window. Case design is clean & streamlined. Buttons are neater than most & have a nice positive operation. Do not hang up on clothing.

Bracelet. Strong & comfortable. Positive & safe fastener.



The only improvement I could suggest is to the illumination. The luminosity fades and the LED is not really bright enough for my (Old.) eyes.

Red LED and fluourescent hands. (As older aircraft instruments.)might break new ground for watches?

Watch is just as beautiful as on the picture, even looks betterr in real life. I am very satisfied with the purchase. I ordered the watch in the late afternoon and receied it the day after no more than 32 hours. Delivery in other words just perfect.

The watch itself as I said is as I wanted it nothing to add and it works perfectly showing the atomic time from the begining, what I checked with my other solar and atomic watch. Regarding the product otself there is nothing on the negative side. The only two small things are that it comes in a paper box and I hoped a metal tin, but I thin the more expensive ones come in a tin. Also the manual is very tiny and difficult to read.

Overall I am very happy and already recommended my brother's girlfriend to buy a watch for my brother from watchshop.

Spending a considerable amount of time on the Island of Malta, I was not sure if the watch would update itself with accurate time, it has done this without fail! Very pleased with this. The date and day of the week being well visble is very handy for the day's work. I picked this watch of the clean design and wanted a watch which I would not have to change the battery and a metal strap that would not break as the common plastic variety ones on the market. If I was to critize the watch, it would be in the instructions which seem convoluted, in the end, I achieved more by trial and error.

I wanted a watch to put on my wrist and forget about and so far the casio wave ceptor fits the bill.

It's the usual casio high build quality that I've come to expect, I've owned G-Shocks in the past but now wanted a watch that looked good for all occasions but still had the casio toughness, it certainly ticks that box.

The main feature for me is the crystal clarity of the watch face itself,even the digital display is easy to read,unlike other watches.

I opted for the stainless steel strap because it gives it more of a feeling of solidity as opposed to titanium which although is as strong is much lighter.

The atomic time keeping is immaculate to the second, and the solar power is tough, this watch can be kept in a draw for 6 months and still work, even after that just bring it into any light source and it will start working again, brilliant.

Downsides?,nothing for the watch only the instructions which were in small print, not really needed, after 5 minutes pressing the buttons it became self explanatory,anyway by default the watch is set to GMT and daylight saving time, take it out of the box and wear it,brilliant.

It did not come in the casio presentation box as shown but not really an issue.

Delivered bang on time and was even price matched and a 2 year casio guarantee.

Overall excellent watch and I thoroughly reccommend it.

I bought the Casio Waveceptor Watch for my Husband at Christmas because he wanted a no fuss, reliable watch with a clear face and this ticks all the boxes. He loves it ! Would definitely recommend to anyone with the same requirements. And incidentally the service was First Class even though I left it until the last minute.

The features of this watch are excellent. It sets the time itself, including the hands, and should continue to do so through daylight savings etc. Solar charged too. Supports time zones so its easy to change when going on holiday.



The only downside I would say is the build quality. Other reviews mention that this is a heavy watch, but I felt it was too light. The problem is the watch is made more of plastic that I expected. The seems to be plastic where the strap joins, and the strap itself feels light (probably a cheap metal).



So far the watch is holding up fine but I was left a bit concerned about the long term durability. The whole point of the automatic features (solar + auto time) are that it lasts a decade at least. I am not convinced it will physically survive that long.

Primal: Many reviews claim this watch has a metalised plastic case and strap which wears badly after a short time - is the case/strap solid stainless or metalised plastic? Would the guarantee cover wear due to the case/strap not being stainless?
