The watch isgood quality and also looks good. Easy to work out various functions. Dont worry about the thick instruction booklet as this is printed in many languages so only a little bit of it is relevant to you.

I am pleased with it so far. I like the appearanve although it is bigger and thicker than my previous casio (which was not radio-controlled). Obviously my liking for the appearance reflects the fact that I chose the one of which I preferred the picture on your web-site.I liked how easy it was to change from LONDON to MADRID when we were on holiday in Spain. I wish the strap was not as long as it is. Otherwise, fine so far.

If you are looking for a robust basic digital watch, then the Casio Wave Captor is a good choice. Layout of screen is good with the time clearly visible and not confused by too many other things happening. Simple to use, and radio of time is a nice feature.

When I first got this watch out of the box I thought it felt light and flimsy but now I have worn it for a couple of weeks I find it very comfortable and easy to use. It is simple to set up and the buttons are easy to operate. I normally need glasses to read but I can see the main display without glasses, the back light is excellent. Well worth the money.

Watch WV 58U. This watch is rugged and packed with features, and especially meets my own reqirements of accuracy and a large digital display - I am 75 and my vision is not as good as it used to be, so seeing the time without recourse to reading glasses is very helpful. A quality instrument at a modest price which I can recomend.. .

This watch does exactly what it says in the advertising, it is very functional ie. keeps exact time, it's very straight forward in its user friendliness. The design of the watch makes it exrenely comfortable to wear. All in all, it is one of the best watches at its price range I own ( beats some of the pricier one hands down)

The important bit, the time display, is particularly clear and the less important (for me) parts of the display are clear albeit smaller. The controls are quite straightforward. I particularly wanted a watch with a good light and the illumination on this watch is brilliant and is easily activated by pressing one of the buttons; it stays on for three seconds. The watch is not ostentatious and would not be out of place in a work environment.My only concern is the fact that it has a resin strap which from past experience with Casios have a tendency to break; accordingly I am being fastidious in not fastening it too tightly.

Well, the time display is nice and large, so my ageing eyes can read it; the "radio controlled time setting" works fine, every night at 2.02am it checks the time, even though I live close to a BBC transmitter, and I just put the watch on the bedside table, none of this windowsill lark like it says in the instructions. The alarm could go on for a bit longer, as I'm a heavy sleeper, "World Time" is a bit of a gimmick, useful on holiday but not everyday; changing the radio setting to a different transmitter will be fun, when I go away. I'm well pleased with it for the price!

The Casio Wave Ceptor impressed me very much. I was unaware of the amount of functions the watch performed until after I bought it. I like that you can set your time zone, however I was buying for a Turkish person and it does not have the instructions in Turkish. The watch is not as bulky as other digital watches, it sits very flush to the wrist, much like an analogue. Thumbs up!

I was thoroughly pleased overall with my choice and would recommend this particular watch to anyone who wishes to have all the information they could need all in 1 place that fits snugly on the arm. The time itself is in big easy to read numerals, aided at night by the classy looking blue back-light. In short, highly informative in one glance. I like that its not overly chunky and the strap will fit nicely on even the slimmest wrist. My only slight criticism would be I would have liked that the alarm mode was next to the timekeeping mode rather than having to access it through the World Time, Timer, then Stopwatch modes but that in itself isn't too much of a hindrance. Anyone who is used to globetrotting will also love it as the wave ceptor technology receives time calibration signals from 28 different transmitters worldwide. So wherever you are in the world next time that someone asks you : do you have the right time you know you really are providing them with just that! Well done Casio, and an exceptionally high standard of service from WatchShop as well, very pleased!

I spent quite some time inspecting the pages of watches on display on the Watch Shop website before making a selection.

After a short period of ownership, I feel I have chosen wisely.

I've worn digital watches for over 30 years, one in particular for most of that time - a shortcoming being the choice between displaying 'date' or 'seconds', but not both simultaneously.

I do like the Casio's clear display of ALL time elements, from year through to seconds - plus the choice of order between date and month.

I've learnt to avoid using the light and alarm functions, which are a drain on the battery, so have not tested them.

The User Guide is helpful, but the size of the text rather small for the eyes of a senior citizen (like me).

The watch was delivered with minimum delay, thanks.

I Bought the Casio WV-58U-1AVEF with Wave Ceptor technology. I am pretty satisfied with the purchase. The watch looks really nice and it wears very fine and light. Everything works as described. Also the receiving of the timesignal works fine. Only disadvantage I encountered so far is that apparantly I have scratched the glass so there is a spot visible. But that's because I must be more carefull I guess. So that shouldn't keep you from buying it. Very good watch !

I was very pleased with this item. I bought it for my dads 50th birthday because we regularly take part in water-sports so we needed a durable waterproof watch and i felt that this one was ideal! When it arrived I took it out the box and was very happy with its looks! it had a very attractive silver rim which made it look like a more classy watch. My dad said that the features were very easy to use and the layout of the screen was very easy to read (even for a 50 year old) Obviously i was very pleased with the purchase but more now importantly my dad loved it !

I like this watch. Good price, very easy to read.

The only downside to this type of watch is - the straps tend to wear out after about 2 years.

I live in a difficult area to lock onto the time signal but I can update time when I am out of the house.

I would recommend this and other wave ceptor watches if you like accurate time keeping to the second.

This is an excellent and stylish watch for those who like to use digital timekeeping. I like the clear display and the accuracy that comes from the Wave Ceptor technology.

I chose to have the rubber bracelet as this can in my view be adjusted more easily and this has not detracted from the style of the watch which has large digits for the time and clearly shows the day and date. The display on this watch is much larger and clearer than my previously owned Cassio digital watches. I am still learning about the other features, but the stopwatch and alert features will come in useful. Automatic settings when abroad will also be useful when on holiday.

Dreadful watch. If you miss putting it by a window facing Rugby at night it resets its time to 00:00 1/1/2005. Why can't it just keep using the time it has until it gets its fix on the transmitter? If I go away, I have to use another watch. Studied the manual for hours to no avail. (Still have it) I will not buy another Waveceptor watch.

This is a fantastic watch in every way. I got my first Wave Ceptor about 2 or 3 years ago and until about a week ago it has been the best watch I ever had! It updates itself in the night (with a nifty little picture of a satelite I might add) so you never have to worry about Daylight Savings Time ever again, it tells you the time in every country, so if you go on holiday you can just change the country instead of faffing about with changing your watch to the local time and then back again, to make this more perfect, to change the time to other country time it's just one button click away. (Or three if you choose to change the main screen, but still, just as simple) It has a clearly visible backlight which glows green, it has a stopwatch, an alarm, it's waterproof, it has a countdown, the date, the day, the month, the year and everything else you would ever need from a watch in your day to day life; it really is an incredible little piece of tech! It's also incredibly comfortable, the plastic is somehow soft, yet incredibly robust. As I said, it has lasted 3 years, and it only broke because I got it stuck in a very large machine which grinded the strap off, I was completely lost without it so upon very little consideration have purchased the same watch again, and this time I'll stay away from heavy machinery! All in all, this is a brilliant watch all round, I really can't fault it! So, who ever you are I really must suggest that you buy one. The image that I attached is of the watch on it's main screen, so you always see the date, month, year, time and day. Top left button is the edit button (hold), top right is the light, bottom left goes through all the features (1 push = World Time, 2 = Timer, 3 = Stopwatch, 4 = Alarm and 5 brings you back to the main screen) and the lower right shows when the watch last updated itself, or if you hold it down it updates on command. All the buttons do various things though depending on which screen you're on, but it's all very simple! Hope this review helped!

Having worn a top brand watch for a number of years I find the strap a bit less comfortable than a stainless braclet. It does however do the job it was designed to do. The display is clear and is easily read. I find it a little akward reading in the dark as two hands are needed to do this especially when driving.The rest of the features are ok once mastered but initally unclear. The best feature is of course its timekeeping which is faultless and the main reason I purchased a budget priced watch.It has already suffered a few knocks and bangs without any damage or drowning. All round I am entirely happy with my purchase and it even has a two year guarantee. Unbelievable value

As I already own a Casio Waveceptor and wanted to add a digital version I was not surprised at the usual phenomenal accuracy of this watch.I was however surprised and delighted to see the same beautiful finish of the watch for such a small sum of money.

Setting up was a breeze,unpack the watch from the very safe and substantial packing, press one button to stop the cycling facility and the correct time,date and year was immediately displayed. Next step was to leave it on the window sill overnight and in the morning the wave Ceptor symbol was showing to tell me that it had indeed received the signal and was correct to the second.

Anyone looking for the most accurate watch they will ever buy at a price that anyone can afford will have found it when thay purchase this model.

Smart bit of technology. When I saw the size of the instruction manual, I was a bit taken aback, but it was in a lot of different languages! Once I got the watch set up to my preferences, which was fairly simple, it just happens. The watch updates itself to the correct time every night, and I am now on time all the time! Good value for money.
