Hey there big watch fan!!! Are you looking for a watch that's probably a little bit too big for your puny wrists, a watch with features that you'll never need and seldom use? YES? Then the PRW-1500T-7EVER is possibly the watch for you. With features such as a digital compass, barometer, thermometer and altimeter you'll be the envy of Inspector Gadget himself! But the bells and whistles don't stop there....Oh no! The digital display also shows both moon and tide displays (as if you really want to know), it's solar powered AND it's radio controlled, so you'll never need to set the time again. It's chunky, it's clunky and the light button is almost impossible to locate in the dark, although it does have an auto-light feature which turns the light on when the watch is tilted more than 40 degrees. It comes with a stylish titanium bracelet which would comfortably fit a silverback's ankle, all bundled up in a little wooden box. For all it's failings and pretentiousness, I still love this watch and I'm sure it will last at least a year, or until it gets snagged on a tree or a rock and the poor quality plastic casing breaks, rendering it completely useless as a watch, just like my last Pro Trek and G-Shock. And then, as it sits on my bedside cabinet, gathering dust, and my friends ask 'Hey, where's that massive watch you usually wear?' I'll say it's broken, beyond repair, but it's still accurate to within 1/1000th of a second. Best 275 quid I've ever spent in my life!

At first sorry form my bad English. From the first time, when I wear the watch on my wrist, I was satisfied. From the first while, teached from older watch, I supposed, that titanium strap on relatively cheap watch is not hardened. So from the first while it gets new and new scratches. But it doesn´t matter. The body from resin is pretty tough and the hardened mineral glass is smartly hidden in thanks of compass lunette. It has pretty good logical interface, huge amount of function. ...For example: for the first time I check the fase of the moon and so on. On think surprised me. Casio use powersave function, which after some while (I don’t know exactly the length) hibernate a watch, but when you shake with them, or turn them like you had it on your wrist, they get on and for two seconds the light turn on also. It is so practical in the morning, when I had them on the night table beside the bad. The light turns on also, when the light is poor. You only have to turn them on your wrist at angle to you face so there is no need to use light button.

Good looking watch with all the facilities you need for most outdoor activities and although large it is not too heavy. The watch needs to be off your wrist for about half an hour to get an accurate temperature reading but all the other features work well and accurately. One word of warning though, the alarm only rings for 10 seconds and is so quiet that even on your wrist it is hard to hear. If left a few feet away you would have difficulty and I am sure It would wake only the very lightest of sleepers. When I rang Casio they admitted that it is not the loudest of alarms (my previous protrek was much louder) but if I wanted to return it they will check that it is working correctly in that mode. All in all though a nice looking and functional watch.

Having previously owned a Pro Trek watch which has faithfully traveled around the world with me there was only one make of watch for me when it came to an update. This upper end watch looks great with its Titanium bracelet, not as bright as stainless steel but much cooler! No heavier than my previous 'plastic' casio this watch has all the functions you could ask for with extreme accuracy thanks to its nightly radio time check. Only time will tell how well the solar power supply will work but after the first week, no problems.

I’ve had the old version about fifteen years ago £45, best thing I ever bought, the countdown, stop watch, and alarms have served me well. I swim three times a week at the local pool, and snorkelled in tropical waters just to its limit of three meters no problem and never ever changed the water pressure o rings. When this new one came up I had to get it, and if I ever need that extra meter or two it’s there simples. The colour of the titanium is cool and the size at first, I thought was big but after a couple of days I realised it had been designed well. The modes are easy to find and work, you can see everything. It did feel heavy at first but I soon forgot that now it lies comfortable on my wrist. The interesting thing about this watch it’s made with trekking in mind but I consider it an all mans and every mans watch it’s fun, and full of helpful stuff. Just love the Compass, Moon phase, and tides. I was a bit doubtful if the watch would pick up the signals at night when I put it down by my beside. However it calibrates no problem, bright eyed and bushy tailed, good morning folks. The old watch was my friend, but I had an accident with the strap. Now I have big brother. Thanks for bringing it to my attention OH, AND THANKS FOR REFUNDING THE FIVER I PAID TIMPSON FOR TAKING OUT A COUPLE OF LINKS. That’s a bottle ‘Chianti’ cheers, now here’s to my 75 fifth birthday.

Having purchased this watch, I am completely satisfied with it. It is quite an expensive item, but then again it has quite a few functions. The pieces that concern me most are being solar powered & radio controlled. It is easy to read & I find the tide graph, moon phase, compass & barometer extremely useful without having to look up the relevant tables or instrument .It is well suited to tell the trends on these items. I am well pleased.

I knew what I was getting as I bought a similar one 10 years ago. My only lesson learned is: be careful with who changes your batteries - my old one died from rust inside! For this reason I'm particularly happy about the new solar power, hoping I'll change batteries less often. I'm only waiting for a GPS function!

In contrast to somebody else's review, I haven't had problems with the lock on the bracelet (and it has improved from my old version). My only issue is of a sexist character: Casio calls this Mens Watch. To this day I wonder why there isn't yet a Womens Watch with the same functions (for those with smaller wrists, mine is 18cm and it works fine) or why it simply can't be presented as unisex (would fewer guys buy it?).

Many thanks to the Watchshop! The watch arrived before 10am the following day - which was great as I could hardly wait..

watch looked and felt nice on arrival and wearing for the first time. the watch has lots to offer but for someone who just needed a chunky tough watch they were pretty pointless and i found the accuracy of the barometer and tide hight etc were unreliable. the alarm is very low and at times cannot be heard so again pretty pointless. that said i am a police officer and the auto elumination works a treat and the size of the display is wicked making it easy to check times etc when on nights. its a good chunky watch and feels great on your wrist and the style and colour make it stand out above the rest. i am not bothered about the thermometer or tide graph etc but wanted a big watch, easy to see at nights. was tough and looked great and in this watch thats exactly what i got. many of my freinds have commented on how great it looks and i have been in a few tough situations with this watch on my wrist and it survives every time.

This is a very feature rich watch. Ver well made and a joy to use. It comes in an interesting MDF box which would give a lot of protection if needed. The instruction book is on the large side and not at all suitable to carry about with you. The Cassio site as well as others do offer a .pdf instuction book, which can be printed out in A5 size. Well worth a read before you buy. There is only a few pages but is small enough to put into your wallet when folded, should you need a reminder of how to use the features.

The strap is very secure, easy to release as long as you remember to press the small clip side buttons.

Icing on the cake would have been a built in GPS system, I know these are as yet power hungary, come the day Cassio adds this to this model of watch , I will replace it.

The only dislke I have, is the fact that when you have finished with one of the modes of operation you have to step through remaing modes befor you return to the normal time keeping mode. It would have been nice to have one of the buttons or just pressing one of the three main buttons to return to time keeping mode.

A great watch and will give years of service.

Just purchased this watch and am glad I went for the Titanium model. It is a big chunky watch but don't be fooled. It really is not that heavy.

Pro's are, I can go anywhere and do anything with this watch. I am an active scuba diver and this watch will be getting some rough treatment. I was mildly concerned about the whole solar energy thing but it has been superb so far. I live by the sea and have to say the tide functions are accurate. The compass is also accurate though I have not yet tried it on a dive. May not be too keen on pushing buttons under water, but I will try it. World time and 5 alarms, very useful. The barometer is useful and seems to work well. What I like is that I can use this watch for my everyday hobbies and still wear it to business meetings.

Cons are, it was a little awkward to adjust the strap. I should have gone to a better shop so this was my own fault. The altimeter seems to differ but it is not supposed to be used in anger as the only source of measurement. There is one niggly thing I don't like... there is a small lip / recess under the rotating bezzel. I came out of the water after kayaking and noticed some small grains of sand that could get under it. You also need to watch salt build up but as I always rinse my gear in fresh water, there should be no problem.

Conclusion... If you like water sports and the great outdoors, this watch will not let you down. I own other specialised watches and this is right up there with them. I love it.

Regards Phil

This is by far the best 200m (suitable for scuba) watch you can get from the Pro-Trek range. It's looks and feels great as really is one of the most advanced watches in the world. A little costly for a casio but worth every penny. You are also assured of the best price though the watchshop so no need to search any further if you are reading this. Super light and very robust.

As with any Casio watch Time keeping and functions are excellent.

For the price this watch in very expensive. The clasp I think is steel so it scratches very easily, the strap is Titanium but this also scratches easily, worst part is the main watch head this is Plastic so it will tarnish and chip quickly.

I have other Titanium jewelery that has been worn daily for years yet this watch has tarnished faster in 1 month than my 5 year old Titanium Ring.

Great watch let down by substandard materials.

Watch Shop Team: This watch mis made of Titanium and so it will not tarnish, after prolonged use it may gain scratches but it will not chip of as it is not a plated product.
