VERIFIED WATCHSHOP BUYER (PURCHASED: THU 26TH JAN 2012)
What a superb watch. The difference between the 9300-1DR and the 9300-1ER, is the strap (only visible on the inside) and the strap loop have carbon fibre weaved into them (making the strap stronger). With this watch being solar, there is no need to send it away (to keep the waterproof seal), every few years when changing the battery - thus saving costs in the long run.
As a gardener having the compass, is a great reference aid when considering design and planting positions (during cloudy days). Also during winter months, I can check the tempreture, to make sure its not to low for laying concrete under paving etc. It also s the time it's time automatically. The moon phase feature is also very clear. I was a little nervous, because reading what it could do, thought it would be complicated and too much information on the watch face - I needn't have worried as its clear and easy.
These watches are built to be robust and solid (something I needed), yet it still looks stylish. The watch is chunky, but fits snugly onto my wrist with out looking to big and is as light as a feather. I went for the 9300-1DR and am very please indeed - highly recommended.

VERIFIED WATCHSHOP BUYER (PURCHASED: FRI 27TH JAN 2012)
Like all G-Shock's I've worn, haven't been disappointed with this watch at all. Everything with it has been perfect, no problems whatsoever.
Watch itself is quite chunky, but exactly what I wanted. Although it's big, it's still very light, and has been excellent to wear when I've been jogging and swimming.
I've compared the compass function to a friend's Pro-Trek watch, and has been very accurate, as has the moon phase feature. It's also synced every night at 1am, so no problems there either.
I do feel the price is a little high for this particular watch, although with a G-shock, you've pretty much got a life-time guarantee that it won't break, so £200 is a pretty good investment.

VERIFIED WATCHSHOP BUYER (PURCHASED: THU 26TH JAN 2012)
I'll start by saying that this watch is amazing. Casio ticked all of the right boxes when it came to making this highly durable watch, that's also aesthetically pleasing, very comfortable to wear, and has some useful functions. I bought this watch over a week ago and I wanted to spend some time using it before writing this review. Firstly here's some background: this watch is part of the 'Master of G' series by G-Shock, and the GW9300 is the latest from the 'Mudman' range. As its name suggests, this watch has been designed for use in muddy conditions as well as being water resistant for up to 200M. It achieves its 'Mud Resist' status due to both the case and buttons being sealed. Some features specific to this watch include a digital compass, moon graph and thermometer, all of which I have found to be very accurate. The watch also includes a world time mode, five alarms (one of which featuring a snooze setting), hourly time signal, stopwatch and countdown timer. Although these have become fairly standard features across the entire G-Shock range, it's good to see that the current time is always visible in each of the different modes (e.g whilst using the stopwatch, the wearer is able to see the time without having to cycle through each of the modes to get back to the main screen). This watch is powered by Casio's 'Tough Solar' system which is basically a solar panel mounted on the face of the watch. It still has a battery, but as it's recharged through the solar panel; it rarely needs changing. Another piece of technology incorporated into this watch is its ability to synchronise to atomic time through its 'Waveceptor' feature. This means that you can always rely on 100% accurate time without ever having to set the time yourself. It only works in certain countries, but fortunately the UK is one of them. Don't worry if you do happen to travel somewhere where it can't synchronise, as you can adjust the time manually. The overall build quality is very high. The bezel is made from the same type of hard-wearing resin used on most G-Shocks and the strap is made from carbon fibre. It may not be necessary to use such a material in a watch strap, but it definitely adds character and gives it a quality finish. The last thing I would like to say about this watch is how it feels on the wrist; I own several other G-Shocks and this is easily the most comfortable. It has a good weight - it's light but feels solid and well balanced. To summarise, this is a great watch, one of Casio's finest and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of buying it.

VERIFIED WATCHSHOP BUYER (PURCHASED: WED 4TH JAN 2012)
I received this watch today after seeing it on Watchshop and reading about it on various sites and forums. I have been wearing G Shocks for a while now and for the money, they offer fantastic value and are nigh on indestructible. This is the new redesign of a G Shock Mudman, and in owning the original, can give you a good insight into the improvements over the older models and the functions that this watch features. First off, its solar powered so you will never have to worry about replacing the battery and as long as it is worn regularly, looks after itself. Its also a MultiBand 6 model, which means that between 1am and 5am, syncs to the UKs transmitter and reads second perfect time all day every day which is exceptional as well as very clever! When you receive the watch, set it to sync and the watch is set and you will never have to set it again. MultiBand 6 means that it can sync to 6 towers worldwide..one in the UK, one in Germany, one in USA, 2 in Japan and one in China. The Mudman also has a digital compass for when your trekking and need to get bearings when reading from a map, as well as a thermometer for temperature reading. It has a Moon Phase indicator too which shows the current phase of the moon and how much of the moon will be visible that night.
It also of course has the more standard features on a digital watch, such as a stopwatch, 5 alarms plus a snooze alarm, a countdown timer which measures up to 999 hours, and world time for when you leave the country, you set the city your in to ensure your watch reads the correct time. The watch has 200 metre water resistance and with currently owning other G Shocks, they have no problem in water. It has a resin bezel and a carbon fiber strap to give extra strength which is actually visible under the strap. The straps underside is semi-transparent and the carbon fiber can be seen which is a great touch.
Overall, I couldnt be happier with this watch and cannot recommend it enough. Its quite a large watch but exudes quality and is very light to wear, It sits great on your wrist and has a fantastic presence. Those not aware of G Shocks in general or have never owned one really should give this one a try. I assure you, you will not be disappointed. A fantastic watch.
