Very good watch Everything is good apart from two things, the light isn't that good (although not really needed while sleeping) and it shows the day e.g. Monday and the time but not the date (doesn't really matter though). Apart from that, it is a must buy

Great looking watch, love the face, size, chunkiness. HOWEVER!!!!! The light is absolutely pathetic. You would get a better light on a basic £20 watch, one costing as much as this Casio should illuminate the whole dial, not shine on it and create a glare that makes it difficult to see the digital display. Very poor from Casio and surprised they even produced it with such a poor light. BUT!! As I like to sleep at night rather than tell the time I couldn't care less. Apart from the light I really like it.

If you are interested in outdoor activities like me then this is definitely the watch for you. It looks really good and it has so many functions and gadgets. It is really comfortable to wear and light. Like all g-shocks it is really strong and will resist any knocks you may give it.

What a great looking watch, feels good on the wrist and I really like that it is a Gun Metal Grey and not the boring usual black. Well built, light and impressive to see on any wrist. I have had girls say they would wear it.......... its chunky and cool. Other reviews state it was difficult to set up........... Rubbish, if you can read and follow the simple instructions, the watch does it for you!!! I like that and its amazing to watch the watch do it by itself???!!! I like all the functions - stopwatch and timer are useful to me - world time not an issue for me as I dont travel a lot. I would like the back light to be brighter as in the half light the time can be difficult to see, but its manageable. If the light were white or blue it would work much better than the amber light you get. Have had it a month now and it feels great, works well and gets admiring comments.

Quality watch designed to meet tough standards. I work in the Fire & Rescue Service and needed a watch that could withstand the daily rigours my profession exerts upon it. I have had a few that have fallen short! Physical exertion, heat & humidity, water, and generally getting knocked about. It takes it all and looks good in the process. Only downside is the digital display could be easier to see in daylight without having to get close up. Light works well during darkness though. Overall....bang on.

Great style watch, looking more expensive than it actually is. The all black look sets it apart from others which have flashes of colour. Full of features you would expect from this kind of watch, however the cleverest must be the automatic light, where with a tilt of the wrist the dial will illuminate on its own rather than having to pres a button. great strap with a very good looking set of pointer hands.

Received my g shock this morning,absolutely love it.I own a few g shocks and protreks and the best thing about them is there sheer toughness,for such a little cost (£59)... How can u go wrong.this version is especially good as it has the extra large casing and virtually all black,which gives it that kind of stealth look.I know I might be biased but in my view you cannot buy a better watch for the money.....BUY ONE NOW!!!!

My man loved his g shock this Xmas. With settings 2 adjust 2 various countries He can see what time it is in Canada before calling his friends out there. That bit he loves. Big watch as well and very robust. He had one for over 5 years that he wore working as a plumber, it was battered but worked fine, I got him this one as a replacement but he doesn't want to wear it to work!!

Got this for my boyfriend for christmas, at first I wssnt sure if he would like it as some of the other reviews said how it was much lighter in reality than in the picture, he had askesd for black. He loved it however and said it looked much smarter in the greyish colour anyway. Its a great price and looks really nice when on. He is 21 and wanted a chunky watch and this was perfect.

This watch is perfect for my requirements. I'm in the military so this tough and rugged watch is ideal for the strains of military life. The world time zones are a great feature as I travel extensively al over the world, as is the auto light when the wrist is tilted. This feature is perfect for working on night-time operations. I love the colour of the watch, its a little different, but not too radical. I cant think of anything that I don't like about it, I looked around for a while before I made this purchase and it meets all my requirements. Overall I am more than happy with my purchase, the service from the Watch Shop was first class, definite value for money and delivery was super quick even though it was not too far from Christmas. Many thanks for the watch at a great price. I will definitely recommend to friends and family.

This watch is good with a bold look. I bought this as a work watch as had to take the knocks but still wanted it to look good, both of which this does. The pale black look is different and just one of the reason the wath stands out. Would say only one bad point is the watch hands are not easily seen in the dark without the backlight being on and the digital display is also hard to see in the dark with the back ligh on. These are small points but all in all very good watch for the price

Had the watch for 2 weeks now and couldn't be more satisfied! First off the service from Watchshop was outstanding,quick delivery, well packaged, great communication and the cheapest price anywhere on the net or on the highstreet. The watch itself comes in a rather cool little tin and is really well presented so would make a great gift. It came straight out of the box with the right time and date i'm not sure if thats always the case but if not then its so easy to use that you can set it all up correctly in no time you barely need to use instructions. Looks wise its pretty smart, you wouldn't be embarrassed to been seen wearing it what ever the occasion. It does a great job of being functional and stylish. The strap seems kind of flimsy at first but like the rest of the watch it seems extremely durable and with a double clasp it wont be falling off accidentally. And with body and screen surrounded by bulky resin you wont worry about breaking it. It has a lot of cool functions to play around with and all the standard things you'd expect so you wont feel like its lacking. If i had to point out a negative (and i do since this is a review...) the light isnt so great it doesnt light up the digital screen very well but it lights up the hands perfectly so you can still tell the time but if you need to use the other features in the dark this might not be the watch for you....

Fantastic watch!! There is so much detail on the face which you can't fully appreciate from the picture, so it kept me entertained just staring at it for a while! :) all the functions are a bit confusing at first but after reluctantly reading the instructions (its a man thing) it's not a problem at all! Look out for the automatic light... That's impressive if you like gadget-y things and almost sold it to some friends too! It is a fairly big watch- noticeable but not obscene and the buttons are great for thumb pressing... None of this dainty fingernail rubbish! All in all, if it cost £40 more I'd still be happy so with what you get for the price I'm ecstatic! It's tough too!! Mow the lawn with a chain-saw followed by a nice bubble bath (duck recommended) and it'll keep on going! Really would recommend this to anyone! Enjoy!

The watch is BIG, but not as big as I thought it would be judging from the photos. Lightweight and comfortable and looks really nice. Functionality wise it packs a lot in, i only really use the stopwatch and dat/time function but have played about with world time, timer and alarm modes. The light is excellent and can be set to 2 or 5 seconds. Very smart, loads of features and tough as they come.

Watch Shop Team: G- shock, a wristwatch developed specifically for its durability and functionality was launched in 1983. These casio watches have undertaken various tests. Their g shock range has been drop tested, and can withstand the shock of a 10 metre drop. They have undergone a vibration test and so last up to 10 years and finally thay are water resistant up to 200 metres.
