Watch great...packaging as well really nice. Hopefully someone will really be happy this Christmas. Great value for money as watch came in at under £50 but looks much more expensive.

I chose this product as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend who loves G-shock watches. When it arrived I was impressed with the whole thing, right down to the nice packaging. The fit looks perfect and the face of the watch is nice and clear. The detail is amazing and you could never tell it is one of the lower priced watches in the range, it looks better than the watch he already has and it was £200. Very impressed with the quality of G-shock.

What I wanted was a watch that was useful for athletic training (I'm an avid runner and swimmer). What I received was a superb well-rounded G-Shock that surpassed my expectations regarding the purpose of the watch, one that has several unique features that other G-Shocks presently do not feature:
*1/1000 stopwatch with split and 999 lap time functions--perfect for athletic training, getting splits etc. while running or swimming.
*Auto-start feature--a 5 second countdown prior to starting the stopwatch, with cool animated graphics.
*2 100-hour countdown timers, adjustable to the second--ideal for interval training on long runs.
*Customizable alarms for weekend and weekday--great for people like me who have to wake up at 7am on weekdays and noon on weekends without having to constantly switch on/off different alarms.
*Customizable hourly signal--set it so that it only beeps on the hour during any specified period (ie. 7am-11pm), so that it doesn't beep while sleeping.
*Flash alert--red and green LEDs go off in sync with the alarms and stopwatch auto-start systems. With the stopwatch auto-start, the LEDs are employed to create a cool motor races effect by having red lights going off in sync with the countdown and green lights going off at the start itself.

Other features of the watch:
*World time in 48 cities--48 cities is new for me, previous G-Shocks only had 27 or so, perfect for frequent travelers like me.
*EL backlight (blue-green) with auto-EL function.
*A very comfortable strap with good fit, and a thin case (by G-Shock standards) makes for one of the most easy-to-wear G-Shocks ever.
*Buttons are extremely easy to push. Some users have complained that the "G" button on the front of the watch, which activates the EL backlight, is hard to press; that wasn't the case for me.

Some cons:
*EL backlight duration (1 second)--too short for me, especially on a display with so much information, presumably to increase battery life. 2 or 3 seconds would be ideal.
*Non-solar powered--given all the power-hungry features of this watch, solar power would be ideal, so as not to worry about running down the batteries with all the alarms, lights and all.

However, these are minor issues. I'm sure this watch would suit anyone out there--by far one of the most feature-packed yet comfortable-to-wear and stylish G-Shocks out there, perfect for any occasion.

Excellent watch.
Not too big on the wrist.
Not any wonderful functionality, but all the basics covered (stopwatch, timer, world time).
Good robust strap.
I don't like the light button embedded in the strap, because it feels a little vulnerable compared with the rest of the watch.

One happy bunny. Delighted with my new purchase.

Clear to read watchface and just as I had hoped.

I found it very helpful to download the watch instructions from Casio website in advance of making my purchase - this allowed me to compare watches in greater detail before making my selection.
To do this you'll need to be aware of the watch module number - easy enough to find if you google-it.

As for WatchShop - 10/10 for service and keeping the customer informed on the status of their order.

Fairly small face, not too bulky G-shock model.
I would say it is also suitable for a smaller male wrist than other similar sports watches.
Nice detail on the plastic strap.
Not as beautiful as it could be perhaps (due to small face), but very nice overall.
Certainly robust - and this is why I've bought it.

A very comfortable watch to wear with a subtle but modern look as opposed to the in your face look of some of the other larger G shocks. Good alarm with both flashing lights and audible alarm, also has a snooze available which is used more often than not! Only having submerged it in shallow water i can't give a full extensive review of it's water resistance however it remains fine in the conditions i have used it. Auto light function is clever as it turns on as you raise your arm and look at the display. All round a very good watch that doesn't have too many functions to the point you don't know how to use it, no bad points as of yet. It will get the ultimate test soon as I venture on holiday in sun sea and sand!

This is a great product, although slightly complicated when first receiving the watch to set up ect once you get used to it you can appreciate some ofthe great features like the countdown on the timer which I love and the separated screen for other misc information. The watch has a very clear display legible in almost any light and has a nice sharP look to the design itself. Overall I would give this item a nine out of ten simply because it doesn't offer some of the features that more expensive G-Shocks do, a great product and if your looking for a simple but practical watch this is perfect I highly recommend it.

I bought this watch to save me from trashing my good watch whilst out working in the garden, cycling to work and also mountain biking. So far it's been excellent. It's not too chunky, easy to read and I find the week number display handy for work. The auto illumination is good when you're out on the bike at night. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Would recommend it.

dislike the instruction manual its tiny!
very comfortable it looks good i bought it as i'm going into the army so need something robust and a watch that can take a few knocks so its perfect for what i need it for!

The product looks very stylish and all the functions meant that it was a great present for my boyfriend, who's job involves a lot of personal training.

It's not too chunky, so doesn't look over sized on your wrist or get caught on clothing etc.

The strap appears very durable so far and it looks like it will last a long time into the future!

I also opted for the free gift box feature and thought that this really made the present special(I couldn't wait to give it to him!)

The watch is great, sturdy and easy to read. The back-light is good, easy to read in the dark wgich comes in handy as I often work the graveyard shift. The only minus point is the American style of month then day for the calendar, quite confusing!

I purchased this watch for use in the gym and when training, so I appreciate features such as the stopwatch and countdown timer. I also required a solid, tough watch was I have no worries about with this watch. It was also important that it was comfortable to wear, which it definitely is. It has many other excellent features which I now use such as multiple alarms and world time.

The ony thing I don't like about the watch is the auto-light feature as I find it distracting but you can switch it off easily enough so it is no problem really.

Not only is it comfortable but it looks great too. The black and aluminum colour scheme works great, nice and modern. I was worried that it would be quite big and chunky but I assure you it isn't and looks great on.

Has all the features I was looking for, 2 countdown timers and a stopwatch for the coaching I do, multiple alarms so I dont have to keep changing them and more time zones than I'll need but I have always found 'dual time zone' watches really handy with all the travelling I do.



The week count is usefull too as a lot of businesses use this and it helps keep track of what happening when.

This was my first G-shock ever. The watch is a great value for money, looks very good on my 18 cm wrist. Its build quality is remarkable.

Always wanted. "G" and really pleased with what I have. Not too many bells and whistles but that's not what I wanted it for. Stopwatch, timer and lights up in the dark. If it was a tin of Ronseal it would say does exactly what it days on the tin. Can't fault the watch or the delivery. Thanks

I havent purchased a G-Shock before but my mates do have them so I knew there reputation - tough, reliable and fashionable! I hadnt seen this model in the 'flesh' but was delighted with my purchase - so much so I let my 3 kids play with the box and wrapping knowing I wasnt going to need them to send it back!! Great watch at really good price recommend this model no probs.

Watch Shop Team: Unfortunately there are only 4 alarms, so could not be set hourly. The countdown timer can however be configured to chime every hour for you.
