I have just received ny Montaine Big Date watch with red band. It is awesome, the face size is perfect and the watch band also fits my wrist exactly as I want it with plenty of expansion if necessary. The watch arrived in exactly 2 weeks of ordering which is great considering Im in deepest darkest Australia. I am 100% happy with my purchase and with Watchshop. I will buy again through Watchshop.

I have had cataract operations in both eyes, and can now see very well long distance without my specs, but Oh Dear, I have to have my specs on to read anything close by. I was so frustrated that I had to find my specs before I could see the time on my watch. So, I decided to look for a watch which I could read without my specs, and, as I like to know the date too, I hoped to find a watch with a big date number. I scoured the shops and the internet until suddenly I found the Mondaine Big Date watch, it even had an option of a strap in my favourite colour, red! A two year guarantee as well!
Not only is it pleasing to look at, but it has cut out hassle and frustration from my everyday life and helps me cope better with my poor eyesight.

I had been searching for a present for my wife's 70th birthday, without success, when she happened to mention that she was having difficulty seeing the face on her wrist watch as it was so small. I suggested that I might buy her a new one as a present and off we went around the stores to find one. We eventually found a store that sold Mondaine watches and looked at a few examples, there was one that my wife liked but it had a steel bracelet and she wanted a leather strap, plus it didn't have the date facility. The face on the watch was larger than a conventional ladies watch but smaller than a gents and suited her eyesight, I suggested we go nhome and have a look on the Internet for Mondaine watches and see if there was one that would fulfill all her requirements. We logged on and found The Watch Shop and soon identified the Ladies Mondaine Big Date Watch as being most suitable. The face is big enough to be clearly seen by my wife (I should mention she has cataracts which reduce her vision) and it had a date facility as well as a red leather strap, everything she wanted. The dial has Roman Numerals in black on a white face which makes it very clear and she can see the time easily. I gave her the watch for her birthday in the delightful gift bag supplied by The Watch Shop and she was over the moon. As far as my wife is concerned this watch has no bad points and she looks forward to wearing it for a long time.

This is a fab watch - it is very clear and keeps good time. I can also see the date very clearly.....

The colours are an assett to the appearence on anyones wrist.

Fab purchase would recommend.

I personally have two Mondaine watches and my partner regularly comments on them saying how "clean and clear" they are and "stylish, without fuss". So I asked her to choose her favourite, hence my Christmas purchase. I believe this model is new to the Mondaine range, I have to say it follows all the trade marks of Mondaine - classic economic style

Absolutely superb, brilliant red and just the job for my wife's christmas present. We ssaw these clocks at all the stations on our holiday in Switzerland and this will be a great reminder of s wonderful part of the world. This watch will hopefully keep precise time like the trains in Switzerland!!!!
