Police jewellery

Police originally started out as an Italian clothes designer but since then has gone on to release watches, jewellery and other products. The designer and Police jewellery has a lot of history behind it, which is worth taking the time to look into.

The company started out in 1978 and was started by Italian Renzo Rosso. Originally based on fashion, Police broke into the world of fashion, especially during 1985 and 1988. Two other prominent years for the company were 1991, when the international marketing started and in 1996, when the first store in New York City was opened. There have been many adaptations and it has just meant that the company’s sales has grown considerably.

There have been a number of brands released from Police. Police Diesel Kid introduced a new children’s line and Safilo introduced the eye wear collection. The Diesel jewellery and watches line, Fossil, also came around, as well as a fragrance range with L’Oreal. The way that the company did this was by acquiring stakes in each of the brands, and in many others.

Wilbert Das became the Creative Director in 1988 and remained to be the man for the job until he left in 2009. He originally started in clothes but has gone on to help many other areas of the company grow and expand. It was only in 1993 that his title was officially given and that was when he received the majority of the job roles that he now has. It is no longer just about clothes and accessories; he is also the man to organise the designs for advertising and for any new media and merchandising. Bruno Collin has been the Creative Director since 2010.

There are a number of different products available when it comes to Police jewellery, and there are different designs for men and women. The jewellery includes necklaces, bracelets and rings for him and for her. Many of the items are made with either a leather strap or a metal band, which includes totems and pendants that have designs and meanings behind them. This is especially the case when it comes to necklaces for men.

The rings are commonly larger and heavier than many others that you will find. They tend to have thicker pieces of metal around the top of the ring, where the designs are added. Earrings for women are delicate and have intricate designs to some of the drop down ones.
